At FARA, we believe no woman or girl should ever be defined by trauma.
We don’t look at someone who has experienced adversity and ask, "What is wrong with you?" We don’t look for diagnoses, labels, or checklists of problems to solve. Instead, we ask:

To celebrate our first anniversary, FARA is hosting our inaugural global summit. We are bringing together women, girls, practitioners, advocates, researchers, community leaders and people with lived and living experience from around the world to create safe, relational spaces for dialogue, storytelling and collective action.

We believe that healing should never sit behind a paywall. Thanks to our community and the FARA Faculty, we are proud to offer our core relational spaces entirely free of charge to the women and girls who need them:
The FARA Faculty is our open educational community. Running from October to June, it is a dedicated space for practitioners, educators, researchers, allies and anyone interested in deeply understanding alternatives to how trauma and adversity impact health, mental health, and well-being.
When you join the FARA Faculty, 100% of your membership fee directly funds our free spaces for women and girls. You learn and they flourish.

FARA does not define women by what happened to them — it supports them to reclaim identity, dignity, voice and future.
