FARA is guided by a committed Board of Trustees who bring together professional expertise, lived experience and a shared commitment to improving the lives of women and girls.
Our trustees provide strategic leadership, governance and accountability while ensuring that the voices and experiences of the communities we work alongside remain central to everything we do.
Together they help shape an organisation grounded in compassion, integrity, dialogue and social justice.
"Our charity is proudly guided by a dedicated Board of Trustees who bring a wealth of diverse expertise and profound lived experience to our mission. We believe true dialogical leadership comes from being in deep conversation with the women and girls we serve. Rather than acting as distant overseers, our trustees anchor their decisions in the felt, everyday realities of our community. Their personal journeys, unique insights, and shared voices directly shape our projects. This ensures everything we do is rooted in empathy, body autonomy, and authentic understanding. Together, they volunteer their time to listen, collaborate, and guide our organisation with total transparency, integrity, and a heartfelt commitment to lifting up women and girls."

The website should feel like a global women’s healing and education organisation. It should be warm and relational but also powerful, informed and change focused. The central message is that women and girls are more than their trauma.
FARA does not define women by what happened to them — it supports them to reclaim identity, dignity, voice and future.
